Truck Driver Class B

Storr Tractor Company is searching for a new Class B Driver to make daily pick-ups and deliveries in central NJ, NYC, and NY State. This position will include driving a company owned truck and will operate Monday-Friday, 7am – 4:30pm, home every day. Overtime may be required during peak season. No overnight driving is required. Qualified candidates must be able to properly pull/pick orders, load and unload product and/or equipment and secure without damage. Ability to lift a minimum 30 lbs. and work unsupervised. Essential Job Functions Ensure all pick-up and deliveries have the correct and matching paperwork Responsible for the safe operation of all Storr vehicles and equipment Responsible for the security of all loads and meeting all DOT regulations Responsible for keeping the GVW within the DOT limits Responsible for knowing the loaded height and driving only under passable clearances Responsible for correct possession and delivery of all paperwork related to deliveries, including manuals, bills of lading, receipts, etc. Responsible for following Storr Tractor procedures regarding collection of COD payments and subsequent delivery of those COD products Responsible for communicating to the service manager any supplies or accessories needed to operate the delivery vehicles in a safe and legal manner Responsible for basic care and cleanliness of the company vehicles Warehouse and yard duties, to include picking, prepping, stocking, paperwork 401(k) Health insurance 401(k) matching Paid time off Vision insurance Health savings account Life insurance Profit sharing Job Qualifications Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Valid Class B driving license is required Valid Class A CDL driving license is a big plus Ability to obtain a DOT medical card Clean driving record and pass a drug test At least 2 years of driving experience or equivalent Experience with customer service and customer communication Ability to load, secure, deliver, and unload products in a safe and timely manner Pay will be dependent on experience and candidate qualifications Disclaimer This is the equal opportunity Disclaimer #J-18808-Ljbffr Storr Tractor Company
