JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Gastroenterology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Topeka, KS Service Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: 11/01/2026 - 01/31/2027 Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday- Friday; 8am-5pm On-Call Shift Schedule: Weeknight and Weekend Call Call Type: Inpatient Call C0overage Needed: 2 weeks/ month ongoing PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adult Gastroenterology Patients Patient Volume/Census: Average 8 Procedures - 7 Consultations Daily Admissions: Yes Rounding: Included Phone Consults: Yes Case Mix: Inpatient and Outpatient Gastroenterology (Advanced GI Preferred) FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Office Equipment Available: Endoscopy Suite Specialty Backup Available: Hospital-Based Specialists Support Staff Available: 2 GI APRNs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Rate: TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Diagnostic Endoscopy Therapeutic Endoscopy Inpatient Gastroenterology Consults JOB REQUIREMENTS
Active Kansas Medical License Board Eligible/Board Certified in Gastroenterology Active DEA Required ACLS, BLS, PALS, ATLS Experience: Advanced GI Experience Preferred Other Qualifications: Case Logs, CME Certificates, References, Driver's License, Photo, Physical Required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology coverage Perform diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures Manage inpatient consultations and follow-up care Participate in shared weekday and weekend call Document patient care in Epic
