Customer Service Coordinator

LHH is actively seeking a Customer Service Coordinator for one of our top clients in Reno! This will be a long term contract opportunity and will report onsite to our client's office in Reno.

Registration Coordinator
Job Summary

The Registration Coordinator is responsible for accurately and efficiently receiving and registering orders and initiating the transportation and logistics process for household goods relocation services. This role serves as an important point of contact for customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring orders are processed timely and accurately while providing responsive, high-quality customer service.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Receive and accurately register new orders and shipment information in computerized tracking and proprietary systems.
  
• Initiate transportation and logistics processes in accordance with contract standards and customer requirements.
  
• Perform routine data entry and maintain accurate, complete, and timely shipment records.
  
• Track shipments and coordinate information with steamship lines, trucking vendors, railroads, and other service providers.
  
• Respond promptly and professionally to incoming customer calls, emails, and other communications, taking appropriate action to address each request.
  
• Escalate service concerns and exceptions appropriately and follow through to support timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  
• Review system information for errors or discrepancies, research exceptions, and resolve issues as appropriate.
  
• Maintain department KPIs and customer satisfaction standards.
  
• Update schedules, logs, tasks, and shipment information on a daily basis.
  
• Scan, organize, and separate documents within the Document Management System.
  
• Perform general administrative duties, including typing, faxing, mail distribution, phone messaging, and related office support.
  
• Collaborate with internal teams, customers, carriers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
  
• Provide feedback and recommendations to leadership regarding departmental initiatives, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
  
• Associate degree or related college coursework preferred.
  

Experience

• 2+ years of related experience, with an emphasis on importing and exporting goods, required.
  
• Experience in domestic and/or international transportation and logistics preferred.
  

Technical Skills

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  
• Ten-key proficiency by touch.
  
• Typing speed of approximately 40 words per minute.

Work Environment

This position works primarily in a corporate office environment and requires regular interaction with customers, vendors, carriers, and internal teams.

Pay Details: $18.25 to $19.25 per hour
