JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Cost Accountant role provides an opportunity for growth and development. To be successful in this role, you should possess the ability to conduct a wide variety of intricate and complex accounting duties and projects. An ideal candidate should be savvy in Microsoft 365 products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Email, as well as ERP systems. Must have excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal skills, and the ability to create and maintain a team-oriented environment. Primary duties will be to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and maintenance of accounting records in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policy.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements.
· Maintain accounting records in accordance with regulatory and company policy.
· Prepare month end closing calculations.
· Analyzes financial statement for variances to plan journal entries.
· Perform general ledger balance sheet reconciliations, verify accuracy of data.
· Provision of information for annual audits.
· Facilitate filing of tax returns.
· Experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
· Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting process.
· Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
· Perform other financial projects and related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Work Experience:
· 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing or construction industry.

Education: 
· BS/BA in Accounting
· CPA Certification a plus.
