Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room care, requiring extensive clinical expertise and adaptability. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Guaranteed 32 hours with the possibility of 36 hours in alternating weeks
• Shifts: Varied start times between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM; typical shift duration is 12 hours
• Floating: Willingness to float to different areas as necessary, based on management discretion

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in adult and pediatric emergency room settings
• Current New York nursing license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Omnicell medication management system experience
• Telemetry skills essential
• Must pass a proctored hospital test with at least 80% accuracy in rhythm identification and 100% accuracy in identifying critical rhythms

Preferred Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Triage experience
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center

Additional Requirements

• Flu vaccine is required by November 1st
• Medical or religious exemptions must be submitted at least two weeks prior to start date for approval
• Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius from the location
