Scaled Operations Program Manager
Primary Objective: Address existing operational and logistics gaps by creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and scalable operational processes. The role is designed to establish reliable, structured operations so that non-FTE / TVC teams can execute day-to-day workflows seamlessly without creating single points of failure.
Core Responsibilities
- Process & SOP Development: Design, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for operational workflows, hardware handling, and shipping logistics.
- Logistics & Shipping Oversight: Manage cross-country and international shipping operations and hardware appliance logistics, overcoming regional constraints and establishing clear operational protocols.
- Stakeholder & Partner Alignment: Serve as the primary operational liaison with regional stakeholders, vendor partners (e.g., HCL), Vendor Management Office (VMO), and partner teams to align expectations and business requirements.
- Hardware & Lab Operations Coordination: Interface with engineering and lab teams (such as the Sunnyvale lab) to coordinate hardware appliance builds, procurement logistics, and chassis/drive qualification processes.
- Operational Enablement & Transition: Build process documentation and train team members (including TVC/XWF staff) so that operations can be carried out predictably and independently.
- Risk & Escalation Management: Proactively identify operational risks, eliminate dependencies on single individuals, and manage escalations related to equipment, site access, and delivery timelines.
Location & Time Zone Requirements
Location: Must be based in U.S. time zones to effectively integrate with key stakeholders and manage the majority (~80%) of regional business operations.
Skill Requirements
Required skills: 4+ years in Program Management / Operations Management Experience managing geographically distributed operations Strong SOP and process-governance background Exposure to hardware logistics or supply chain operations Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Comfortable working in US time zones
