Registered Nurse (RN) - MS/Tele

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working primarily with adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with various medical-surgical and telemetry needs.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing necessary interventions based on clinical judgment.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Educate patients and their families on health management and promote overall wellness.
Document care activities accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Assist in the management of patients recovering from surgical procedures and those under observation for longer than 24 hours.
Participate in unit-based activities and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Current Maryland state nursing license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit preferred.
Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with patients and families.

Work Schedule

This position requires a 3x12 hour schedule, working day shifts from 08:00 to 20:30. Candidates must be available to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.

Unit Details

The nursing unit operates with an average daily census of 18 patients and a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio. This mixed unit addresses a variety of diagnoses and includes general medical-surgical and telemetry cases.

Additional Requirements

Floating may be required within the specialty and across sister facilities.
Scrub color: Navy.
