Open Positions Property Management Account Manager For over 57 years, The Dragas Companies has been a trusted name in real estate development and property management. We are proud to provide quality housing and exceptional living experiences across our apartment communities. We are seeking an experienced and dependable Account Manager to join our team and serve as a vital link between our residents and property operations. The Property Management Account Manager plays a key role in ensuring accurate resident account management, billing, and collections. This position requires a high level of professionalism, trust, and confidentiality. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in property management accounting and resident relations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Accurately manage and post resident billing and rent collections. Monitor and reconcile daily bank deposits, report transactions to the corporate office. Prepare and issue late notices and balance due statements for delinquent accounts. Coordinate unlawful detainers and eviction actions with the attorney’s office. Process final account statements, deposits, and charge reconciliations. Review and process vendor invoices; assist the property manager with financial documentation. Collect on bad debts and maintain the Former Resident Collection Spreadsheet. Assist in monthly water/sewer billing and utility reconciliations. Support resident communications and help resolve account-related concerns. Participate in lease execution, renewals, and resident retention efforts. Conduct property tours and process rental applications for prospective residents. Complete administrative tasks and special projects as assigned. Required Education, Skills, and Abilities: High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred. Minimum 2 years of property management experience (preferred). Proficiency with property management software (OneSite experience a plus). Strong background in collections and financial reporting. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy. Solid understanding of lease terms, community operations, and collections laws. A history of sound personal financial management demonstrated through good credit. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Willingness to work a weekend rotation schedule. Professional appearance and demeanor. Physical Requirements: Ability to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day. Frequent bending, stooping, or squatting for filing and administrative tasks. Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs. occasionally. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Maintenance Technician The Dragas Companies, a well‑established Real Estate Builder and Developer in the Virginia Beach area is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our maintenance team at one of our large apartment communities. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for upkeep and maintenance of the internal and external structure of the apartment community. The Maintenance Technician must have skills in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, grounds upkeep, carpentry, painting, and janitorial and electrical services. Job Type: Full‑time Compensation: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year Assistant Construction Superintendent The Dragas Companies, a well‑established residential home builder and real estate developer in the Hampton Roads area is seeking the talents of an experienced Assistant Construction Superintendent. This opportunity offers a generous compensation package including 100% company-paid employee and dependent health coverage, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) options, plus a company‑funded retirement benefit. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Schedules and monitors work of trade partners and Punch Out staff. Assists Superintendent with the supervision and performance of on‑site construction activities. Inspects material deliveries for completeness and quality. Coordinates with Dragas sales associates and administrative staff to maintain accurate home delivery schedules. Reviews homes with City Inspectors to ensure compliance with all residential construction code requirements. Fills in for Punch Out personnel and Superintendents as assigned. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Required Education, Skills, and Abilities: High School Diploma or GED preferred. One year of residential construction experience required. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Light construction skills desirable (painting, drywall finishing, carpentry, siding, etc.) OSHA 10 certification (preferred) RLD certification (preferred) Demonstrated employment stability and personal financial management Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. Job Type: Full‑time Compensation: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Construction Punch Out Technician The Dragas Companies, a well‑established residential home builder and real estate developer in the Hampton Roads area is seeking the talents of a Punch‑out Technician to join our team of professional builders delivering beautiful and quality‑built homes. The Punch‑out Technician is responsible for efficiently completing light construction and other “punch out” activities to Dragas Companies’ standards in preparation for delivery of newly built homes to our buyers. This opportunity offers a generous compensation package including 100% company‑paid employee and dependent health coverage, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) options, plus a company‑funded retirement benefit. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Completes “punch out” activities for new construction homes to include minor painting, drywall repair, light carpentry, basic labor, etc. Assist in monitoring trade partner performance. Participates in site and individual unit inspections. Assists with completion of homeowner warranty requests. Assists in maintaining community standards. Maintains professional communication with all homeowners and internal staff. Maintains cleanliness of job site and individual units. Promotes overall job safety. Other duties as assigned. Required Education, Skills, and Abilities: High School Diploma or GED. One year experience working with residential construction, desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi‑task. Ability to interact with homeowners in a professional manner. Construction and maintenance knowledge, a plus.
