Medical Surgical Unit - Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse- $1390 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Trauma experience preferred.
Telemetry experience preferred.

Unit Details:
This is a trauma telemetry unit providing medical-surgical and telemetry care.
Specialized care includes complex wound management, blood product administration, pain management, management of NG, PEG, feeding tubes and surgical drains, and chest tube care.
Equipment includes bedside telemetry monitors, a vein finder, bladder scanner, EKG machine, Doppler, Hoyer lift, glucometer, pulse oximeter, scales and a wound vac.

Shift & Scheduling:
Every other weekend.
No call.

Floating Requirements:
Floating areas include Med Surg and telemetry, if certified.
