Responsibilities:

• Follow company directions and learn the responsibilities, expectations, and professional conduct of a Sales Representative Trainee.
• Use and develop an understanding of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems.
• Learn about the food industry and distribution processes.
• Gain knowledge of Azuma Foods products and existing customer business operations.
• Manage and support existing clients, including distributors, wholesalers, and retail customers, to achieve business goals.
• Respond to and communicate with customers promptly and professionally.
• Handle prospective client inquiries by phone, email, and in-person under the guidance of a supervisor.
• Create proposals and quotations and assist with contract reviews alongside the supervisor.
• Analyze sales results and participate in PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) activities.
• Contact clients and identify new business opportunities to achieve monthly sales targets.
• Participate in new product development (NPD) activities, including product tastings and feedback sessions.
• Travel domestically for sales meetings, customer visits, and trade shows as required.

Desired Background/Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload.

Other Information:

• Sales Representative Trainee position.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM.
• Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour (non-exempt).
• Upon successful completion of the one-year training program, the candidate will advance to Sales Representative Level 1 (exempt position).
