Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to neonatal patients in the NICU, ensuring the safety and well-being of critically ill newborns. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care and support families during challenging times.

Responsibilities:

• Assess the health status of neonatal patients and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, IVs, and conduct phlebotomy procedures with precision and care.
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatments, adjusting care as needed.
• Perform advanced procedures such as conscious sedation under established protocols.
• Educate and support families regarding their infant's condition and care processes.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing, certification, and safety standards to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active New York State RN license with primary source verification.
• Possess a minimum of two years of Maternal and Child health experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation.
• Maintain current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Have an Associate Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
