Patrice has proudly owned and operated her agency since July 2006, later expanding with a second location in 2020. Before becoming an agent, she spent fifteen years with State Farm in a variety of claims and agency leadership roles, giving her a deep understanding of how to support customers, guide teams, and build a thriving business.

The organization closest to her is Education and Athletic Excellence (EAE), a nonprofit founded by her husband in 2011 that provides financial assistance to underprivileged students with college aspirations. Patrice is also passionate about being a voice for those who are not always heard, which she has demonstrated through two decades of volunteering and serving on boards such as C.A.R.E., United Way, YMCA, Englewood Hospital, and Women United.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As a Sales Team Member with Patrice Weston State Farm, you will play a key role in growing our agency by identifying customer needs, building relationships, and helping individuals and families protect what matters most.

This is a sales-focused position for someone who is motivated by goals, comfortable having meaningful conversations, willing to prospect for new business, and committed to becoming a knowledgeable insurance professional.

Our Risk Advisors are expected to do more than quote insurance. You will educate customers, uncover needs, recommend appropriate products, ask for the business, follow up consistently, and create opportunities for both Property, Casualty and Financial Services products.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop new business through outbound calls, referrals, lead follow-up, networking, and prospecting.
• Conduct comprehensive insurance conversations to identify customer needs and potential coverage gaps.
• Quote, present, recommend, and close Auto, Home, Renters, Life, Health, and other available insurance products.
• Consistently meet established activity, sales, and production goals.
• Follow up with prospects and customers until opportunities are appropriately resolved.
• Build strong customer relationships that support retention, referrals, and long-term agency growth.
• Conduct policy reviews and identify opportunities to better protect existing customers.
• Explain insurance products and coverage options clearly and confidently.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow agency sales processes and systems.
• Participate in ongoing role-play, coaching, product training, and professional development.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude and contribute to a strong team culture.
• Take ownership of individual results and respond to coaching with action.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Sales experience is highly preferred.
• Insurance experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
• Property/Casualty insurance license preferred; willingness to obtain required licensing before starting date is necessary.
• Life/Health licensing preferred or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed goals.
• Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable making outbound calls and initiating sales conversations.
• Ability to handle rejection and continue prospecting with a positive attitude.
• Strong follow-up, organization, and time-management skills.
• Coachable and receptive to feedback.
• Dependable, punctual, and accountable.
• Willingness to continuously study products and improve professional knowledge.
