Assistant Warehouse Manager

Assistant Warehouse ManagerWe are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Warehouse Manager who is comfortable taking and giving direction. You will oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations including receipt, storage, packaging, and dispatch of solar and storage products. You will ensure the warehouse runs smoothly, material ships accurately, and service levels demonstrate continued improvement with an emphasis towards growth. The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced warehouse environment where every day is different.Reports to: Warehouse ManagerMinimum Qualifications:2+ years warehouse experienceValid driver's license with clean driving recordCapable of lifting up to 50+lbsGood work ethic, excellent customer serviceSelf-starter but also a team player, strong attention to detailPreferred Qualifications:Forklift certificationWorking Conditions:Warehouse environment (concrete floors) and outdoor conditions (on asphalt, gravel, or grass) including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures. Some job functions may require extended periods of sitting.Supervisory Responsibilities:YesEssential Job Functions:Assist in developing warehouse operations systems for inventory control, product storage and handling, general warehouse organization, etc.Assist in the training and performance reviewsPulling and checking orders for accuracy to ensure customer satisfaction is metOversee receiving functions and inspecting incoming freight materialProcess freight claims with 3rd party carriersUphold safety standards and proper equipment use proceduresWorking with sales team to create daily delivery scheduleEnsure the warehouse operates at peak efficiencyOccasional delivery driving including loading and unloading material at local job sitesCED is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Disability | Veteran
