Lab Associate

Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Lab Associate. This role is essential in supporting our laboratory operations during the overnight shift from Tuesday to Saturday, 12:30 am to 9:00 am. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and be comfortable handling various types of samples.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience working overnight shifts, with a preference for recent experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
Comfortable handling blood, urine, fecals, and biopsies with appropriate PPE.
Capability to sit, stand, and move for long periods during the shift.
Prior work experience at a high-volume lab, such as LabCorp or Quest, or in a related industry.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Experience in a fulfillment or production environment, such as Amazon or FedEx.
Background in food service or warehouse work.
Recent degree in Biology with relevant work experience.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Check in couriers and manage sample intake.
Unbag, barcode, and move samples within the lab.
Load samples into analyzers and centrifuges.
Swirl samples with liquid chemicals as needed.
Retrieve samples from refrigerated storage areas.
