Director of Agriculture Policy

Leading the development and implementation of innovative agricultural policy solutions, the full-time Director of Agriculture Policy will work remotely or from the Washington, D.C. office, focusing on reducing the environmental impacts of agriculture while managing cross-functional teams and engaging with key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead the development of strategies and workplans for agriculture policy, emphasizing cropland and fertilizer use Engage with trustees and donors to raise funds, while liaising with the EDF Executive Team and Board of Trustees Identify emerging issues in agriculture and develop strategies to address climate impacts and enhance stakeholder alignment Required Qualifications 10+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree; a Master's degree may substitute for up to two years of experience Deep subject matter expertise in agriculture and fertilizer use Proven track record of planning and implementing strategic programs across complex stakeholder landscapes Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and community stakeholders Excellent oral and written communication skills for diverse audiences
