Tower Technician I / II (SoCal)

Overview TOWER TECH I / II – PayScale: $18.50-27.00/hour Apex Site Solutions is a wireless telecommunications contractor serving California, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, and Arizona. Responsibilities Climbing and working on communication towers to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain wireless systems Assembling/erecting various tower types, including self-support, monopoles, guyed towers, etc. Learn to read construction documents Installing antennas, coax, fiber optic cables, DC power, AC power, etc., at elevated heights of over 100 feet Working closely with, helping manage, and mentor technicians, and staying aligned with our OJT training program Review assigned crews and adhere to project schedules Adhering to all company and industry standards/regulations (e.g., OSHA, NATE) Job Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Be able to demonstrate skills, knowledge, and your level of expertise in the tower industry Must have reliable transportation; a valid driver’s license may be required for certain assignments involving travel or use of company vehicles Ability to travel and work outside of normal business hours, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays Working knowledge of hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment Ability to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with a 50 lb. load Travel Requirements Local, out-of-the-area, and extended travel is required (up to 95%).
