Job Description
The Certified Athletic Trainer (AT) reports to the Director of Operations. The AT is to provide clinic, community-based point of service for sports related prevention, care, coverage and rehabilitation, referral and marketing for musculoskeletal injuries and sports related ailments within a defined environment for athletes; school aged, adolescent, early adult, middle adult and late adult. Under the general supervision of the physician, physical therapist, physician assistant and or nurse practitioner.
Education
Graduate of an accredited college with a BS/BA. Certification by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC). Certified as an Athletic Trainer in South Carolina by DHEC.
License/Certification
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, from either the American Heart Association (AHA) for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
