Human Resources Technology Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Human Resources Technology Analyst based in the United States.

This role supports the design, development, and ongoing optimization of HR technology and reporting solutions across a broad range of HR functions. You’ll work extensively with Workday to create meaningful reports, dashboards, integrations, and data solutions that support better decision-making. The position combines HR technology expertise with data analysis, business process improvement, and strong attention to data security. You’ll collaborate with HR professionals, senior leaders, and technical stakeholders to translate business needs into reliable technology solutions. The role covers areas including payroll, benefits, time tracking, compensation, recruiting, performance, and talent development. You’ll also help maintain data integrity, evaluate system releases, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities to improve platform functionality. This is a full-time, fully remote opportunity for an analytical and proactive professional who enjoys working across multiple HR technologies in a fast-paced environment. \n

Accountabilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and optimize custom Workday reports and dashboards aligned with HR programs, business requirements, system configuration, and data security standards.

Partner with HR teams, senior leaders, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate business needs into effective technology solutions.

Support Workday activities through research, issue resolution, user support, training initiatives, and ongoing system administration.

Perform complex data audits and specialized reconciliations to verify data integrity, accuracy, consistency, and compliance.

Conduct mass system updates, employee record management activities, and business process improvement projects.

Troubleshoot reports and dashboards, resolving issues involving user access, configuration changes, system updates, releases, and data availability.

Build, maintain, and support integrations between Workday and internal or external systems, coordinating with relevant technical and business stakeholders.

Assess the impact of Workday releases and system updates on reporting functionality, dashboards, integrations, and business processes.

Test and implement necessary reporting or dashboard changes following system releases and functionality updates.

Maintain comprehensive documentation for reporting processes, procedures, configurations, and ongoing system maintenance.

Support the preparation of presentations that communicate HR data findings, trends, insights, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Monitor emerging HR technology trends and identify opportunities to improve platform functionality, reporting capabilities, and business processes.

Maintain strong awareness of data security, privacy, confidentiality, and applicable policies while ensuring consistency across HR reporting platforms.

Provide guidance and support to HR and organizational leaders on HR data, reporting capabilities, and technology solutions.

Collaborate across multiple HR technology areas, including HCM, payroll, benefits, time tracking, compensation, performance, recruiting, and organizational talent development.

Perform additional responsibilities and projects as required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, or a related discipline preferred.

2–3 years of relevant professional experience

in a role involving significant data administration, reporting, analysis, or HR technology responsibilities.

Hands-on experience with

Workday configuration and/or administration

, including areas such as HCM, integrations, Workday Studio, security, business processes, recruiting, payroll, absence, time, compensation, and dashboards.

Working knowledge of Human Resources, payroll, benefits, and relevant legal and regulatory principles.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, charts, and data analysis.

Strong understanding of data visualization and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to non-technical audiences.

Experience with business process analysis, data auditing, reconciliation, and data integrity controls.

Understanding of information systems architecture and modern technology platforms.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and communicate significant volumes of information effectively.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with individuals at all organizational levels.

Ability to handle confidential, sensitive, proprietary, and protected information with discretion and sound judgment.

Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

Self-motivated approach with a demonstrated passion for troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and applying agile methodologies.

Strong technology aptitude and the ability to work across multiple HR technology platforms.

Minimal travel required.
