Computed Tomography Adjunct Instructor MassBay Community College Location: Framingham, MA, United States Position Summary The candidate is expected to commit to excellence in teaching and learning, collaboration and professional development. Adjunct faculty are expected to deliver course materials in a learner‑centered environment conducive to engaging students in the learning process. The faculty member in this position communicates consistently and effectively with students, faculty and administrators, and responds to communications within a 24 hour period. The faculty is responsible for managing this course throughout timely grading of assignments, providing substantial student feedback with assignments, and submission of clinical evaluations, attendance and grades. Semester and Schedule Work: Spring 2026 (January – May) and Summer 2026 (May – August) Spring Courses (Jan – May 2026) TO 201 – Computed Tomography 1 Introduction – 2 credits TO 214 – Computed Tomography Cross‑Sectional Anatomy – 2 credits Summer Courses (May – Aug 2026) TO 202 – Computed Tomography II Advanced – 2 credits TO 215 – Computed Tomography Pathology & Procedures – 2 credits Key Responsibilities and Duties Work in collaboration with faculty and others to prepare syllabi and develop teaching materials in alignment with course description and agreed‑upon learning outcomes. Collaborate with program officials on students' academic progress and needs. Meet students regularly at the posted class times and teach assigned courses using effective instructional strategies that promote student learning and preparation. Participate in the assessment of course and program learning outcomes. Utilize appropriate learning management systems for the College. Follow College protocols and procedures. Submit syllabi, midterm and final grade reports, attendance records, and other reports pertaining to assigned courses by the required due dates. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration, assess students objectively, and work as part of a team. Stay current with developments in the profession. Use the College's technology effectively to communicate with students, colleagues, and administration. Be timely in communication. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Dean/Dean's designee and consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology‑Radiography or higher or equivalent, ARRT Certification in Radiologic Technology, and Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography. Minimum of four (4) years of recent work experience in a Computed Tomography role or a relevant combination of work experience. Some teaching experience/working at a teaching hospital also applies here. Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of affirmative action. Experience working in a community college or similar environment. Demonstrates commitment to working with students in need. Bachelor's degree preferred. Online teaching experience is preferred. Bilingual language skills. Evidence of a career that includes a strong work ethic with a proven track record of project completion, multi‑tasking, and the ability to handle high‑pressure environments. Salary Range: $1397–$1585 per DCE Credit. Classification: Adjunct Faculty, Division of Continuing Education (DCE). Hiring is subject to state appropriation funding. Final candidates are required to provide sealed transcripts and/or certifications. Hiring is contingent upon a successful CORI clearance.
