Work Environment

You will be working in a dynamic outpatient office setting within our Fairfax clinic, where patient-centered care is paramount. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients through detailed history reviews and comprehensive assessment techniques, determining the appropriate course of treatment.
• Effectively communicate evaluation findings and collaboratively develop treatment plans with patients and their families, fostering a partnership in goal-setting.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each individual’s needs, continuously adapting approaches based on patient progress and healthcare advancements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans when changes in patients’ conditions occur.
• Document patient care activities meticulously, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to provide a clear narrative of the patient's journey through rehabilitation.
• Demonstrate excellent time management skills, achieving productivity goals and maintaining an organized schedule to enhance patient flow and engagement.
• Participate in outreach activities such as community engagement and marketing initiatives, promoting access to our services and strengthening our community connections.
• Contribute to departmental goals by supporting initiatives that improve patient accessibility and satisfaction.
• Pursue opportunities for professional growth through continuing education, and act as a mentor for students in clinical placements within our facility.
• Champion a positive patient experience by adapting to diverse needs and ensuring exceptional customer service across all interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a wide range of patient demographics, catering to individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, chronic pain conditions, and neurological disorders. Our goal is to promote functional recovery and improve mobility in our patients, helping them regain independence and enhance their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid physical therapy license in Virginia, in accordance with state regulations.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience is preferred, although all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience working in an outpatient rehabilitation environment is advantageous.
