Process Tech - Injection Molding (3rd Shift)

divh2Injection Molding Technician/h2pResponsibilities:/pulliResponsible for all aspects of the injection molding process including, but not limited to, set-up and tear down, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance and work flow./liliWorking with production personnel and Quality to ensure molded components meet requirements, adjusting as required./liliProviding molded components in a timely manner to ensure production schedules are met./liliWorking with outside vendors to develop tooling and fixtures that result in the manufacturing of high quality products./liliManaging raw molding materials in a way that ensures traceability and prevents contamination./liliGenerating documentation on molding runs that can be used to control traceability and ensure reproducibility./liliWorking with Quality, and Manufacturing Departments during concept, prototyping, and release of new products./liliFollowing established procedures to maintain a clean and organized environment./liliDrafting and performing mold validations./liliOther assignments as requested./liliAssure all safety and housekeeping procedures are followed./liliReport all quality and scrap issues to appropriate Supervisor / Manager as soon as possible./liliContact Maintenance for applicable equipment issues / non-conformances./liliMonitor product quality and process control parameters per operating instructions and control plans - adjust and document as required./liliWaste handling of process waste as required./liliFacilitate communication between other Technicians regarding process improvements and troubleshooting activities./li/ulpRequirements:/pulliMinimum of 3 years experience in injection molding./liliCandidate must have good organizational skills./liliCandidate must be proactive and show initiative in taking on and completing injection molding projects./liliCandidate must possess good verbal and written communication skills./liliDemonstrated examples of monitoring a process and adjusting as necessary to maintain a specific product quality./liliWillingness to work required hours overtime, weekend work and early morning startups is likely./liliDemonstrated ability to determine root cause and implement actions to correct them./liliSelf-motivated in diagnosing and solving problems to improve efficiency./liliExperience with basic safety processes and how to work safely around automated equipment./liliExperience and understanding of automotive quality requirements for interior products would be very helpful./liliStrong analytical skills./liliAbility to troubleshoot product quality/process issues, interpret data and problem solve./liliBasic computer skills with general understanding of software programs (Windows, Micro Soft Word, Micro Soft Excel, etc.)./liliSix Sigma Green Belt Training or Kepner Trego Training a plus/li/ulpEducation:/pulliHigh School Diploma/li/ulpWe offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, 401k, short-term disability, ADD, tuition reimbursement, and more.
