We are seeking a Lead Android Developer - Kotlin & Jetpack Compose to join our team. This role will involve developing consumer-facing Android applications, designing modern UI components, and integrating location-based services. The ideal candidate will have experience in Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, maps integration (Google Maps/Mapbox), OOP/SOLID principles, and CI/CD workflows and a passion for mobile app architecture and user experience .

Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid - 3 days onsite/week)

Duration: Long Term (Contract)

Rate/Salary: Competitive / Commensurate with experience

Job Description:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain high-performance consumer Android applications available on the Google Play Store.

• Architect and build modern user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and Compose UI according to Material Design guidelines.

• Implement location-based features using mapping frameworks such as Google Maps, HERE Maps, or Mapbox.

• Utilize MVVM, MVC, and VIPER design patterns while applying Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID principles.

• Integrate REST-based Web Services, JSON, Thrift, or other network protocols to connect mobile applications to backend services.

• Identify performance bottlenecks, debug complex software issues, and fix bugs to maintain application quality and responsiveness.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through design reviews, code reviews, and technical solution sharing.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, leveraging JIRA, Confluence, Git, and CI/CD pipelines to drive continuous delivery.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience developing consumer mobile applications on the Android platform.

• Deep proficiency in Kotlin, Java, Gradle, Android Studio, and Jetpack Compose.

• Hands-on experience integrating location/mapping features and RESTful web services.

• Strong background in design patterns, architecture, object-oriented programming, and debugging.

• Experience with Git, CI/CD deployment processes, and Agile tools (JIRA/Confluence).
