Cashier

Job Description Cafeteria employees enable Church employees and temple patrons to focus on their most important work of bringing souls unto Jesus Christ by providing food services in a simple and affordable way. Responsibilities Determine the price of items selected by a customer, enter the price into the cash register to determine the total sale price. Receive payment (cash or credit card), make appropriate change, and issue a receipt. Respond to questions from customers about merchandise, prices, and availability. Notify supervisor about merchandise returns for refunds. Restock and straighten merchandise, and keep the work area neat and clean. May provide food preparation and housekeeping duties in surrounding work areas during off-peak work periods. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year experience in customer service, cashiering or a similar role. Basic math skills. Promotes positive interaction with customers. Good communication skills. Preferred Previous cashiering experience. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of the shift and occasionally move objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Regularly operates a cashiering machine. Only members of the Church who are worthy of a temple recommend qualify for employment.
