Software Engineer - Level 2

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking Software Engineers to join the growing team for one of our federal customers to support a Navy program. The program is currently expanding to include additional US and foreign customers and will remain relevant for many years.

The successful candidate for the role of Senior Software Engineer will play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, and safety standards for the program, while adhering to strict government regulations. You will have the opportunity to review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software products. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, enhancing and optimizing software products and functionalities for systems integrations. Additionally, you will debug and resolve issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.

Position Responsibilities:

• Handles user inquiries, troubleshoot technical issues and user feedback analysis

• Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development

• Execute and document software research and development projects

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Active U.S. Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI

• 1+ year(s) of experience with VB, C#, .NET and/or .NET Framework

• 1+ year(s) of experience with SQL or other relational database • 2+ years of experience with VB, C#, .NET and/or .NET Framework

• 2+ year of experience with SQL or other relational database

• .Net Framework (WinForms)

• Web Services (SOAP or Rest)

• Windows Environment (Windows 10/11, Windows Server)

• Project Management Tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)

• Azure DevOps Pipelines or other CI/CD tools

• Unit testing frameworks like xUnit, jUnit, nUnit, or MS Test

• C+• Agile

• Strong mathematical analysis skills

• CompTIA Security+ certification
