- Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing evidence-based assessments and clinical observations.
- Design tailored treatment plans to meet immediate goals as well as long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver focused individual speech therapy interventions targeting communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
- Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, medical staff, family members, and caregivers to create effective care strategies.
- Provide education to patients and their families to support therapeutic progress beyond the clinical environment.
- Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure cohesive care throughout treatment timelines.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Engage in professional development to stay updated on advances in the field through continued education and peer collaboration.
- Hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Complete a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
- Possess state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred).
- Achieve Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based practices for all age groups, demonstrating a keen understanding of both developmental and acquired disorders related to speech, language, and swallowing.
- Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate communication with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary health care teams.
- Adaptability in therapy methods to respect diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Sound clinical judgment and critical thinking skills to address challenges as they arise.
- Proficient in handling electronic medical records and maintaining compliance with documentation standards.
