Location: 1 Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA (Onsite role) Compensation: $425,000 total comp target ($275,000–$325,000 base + $100,000 OTE) + equity The Role We are looking for an experienced Field CTO to serve as the senior technical partner to our enterprise customers. You will interface directly with CIOs, CTOs, and Heads of Engineering to validate architectures, accelerate modernization, and ensure every Blitzy deployment drives measurable velocity in software delivery. You will work alongside a rapidly growing, high-performance Enterprise Sales and Customer Success team, collaborating closely with our AI Solutions Consultants to pair technical validation with commercial ROI—leading technical strategy and credibility throughout the enterprise sales cycle and beyond. This role requires deep, firsthand understanding of the AI code-generation ecosystem—including direct, practical experience with modern foundation models, toolchains, and frameworks for autonomous or assisted code generation. You know what’s possible, what’s hype, and how to operationalize it in real enterprise environments. What Success Looks Like You independently lead enterprise technical validation from discovery through expansion, owning the technical narrative at every stage You operate as a consultative, executive-level partner to customer technology leadership—earning trust through credibility and clarity You translate customer modernization goals into executable AI-native roadmaps with concrete, measurable outcomes You drive SDLC acceleration and sustained platform adoption for every customer you touch You bring authoritative perspective on AI code-generation models, platforms, and benchmarks—guiding customers confidently through the category landscape You collaborate tightly with Enterprise AEs, AI Solutions Consultants, and Customer Success to align technical success with commercial growth You are a low-ego, high-output team player who thrives in fast-moving, collaborative environments Areas of Ownership Enterprise Technical Validation Lead enterprise-scale architecture assessments and proofs of concept from scoping through delivery Design and execute technical validation cycles aligned to MEDDPICC frameworks Translate complex technical capabilities into business value and ROI narratives for both engineering and executive audiences AI Code-Generation Expertise Apply hands-on experience fine-tuning, evaluating, and deploying AI code-generation models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, or open-source equivalents) Advise customers on how code-generation systems interact with software supply chains, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling Guide customers through the AI code-generation landscape—distinguishing what is production-ready from what is emerging Modernization & Adoption Strategy Guide customers through modernization, migration, and AI-adoption strategies aligned to their organizational readiness Advise on the architectural and operational changes required to succeed in an agentic software development environment Drive client expansion by uncovering new technical use cases post-implementation Cross-Functional Partnership Partner with Customer Success to ensure long-term adoption and measurable outcomes Collaborate with Enterprise AEs and AI Solutions Consultants to align technical strategy with commercial milestones Serve as the senior technical voice in enterprise sales cycles, instilling confidence at the CTO and CIO level Required Experience Demonstrated experience as a Field CTO, Chief Architect, VP of Engineering, or senior technical executive in an enterprise or customer-facing capacity Deep, hands-on experience with AI code-generation models, toolchains, and autonomous development frameworks Proven track record leading enterprise architecture assessments, technical validations, and POC cycles at scale Fluency in enterprise sales methodologies including MEDDPICC and the ability to align technical strategy to commercial outcomes Exceptional executive communication skills—equally credible in conversations with individual engineers and C-suite leaders Experience guiding enterprises through large-scale modernization, migration, or AI-adoption initiatives Comfort with fast-moving startup environments, rapid iteration, and operating without a complete playbook What Makes You Stand Out Proven history implementing or leading AI code-generation initiatives at scale within enterprise environments Familiarity with LLM training, inference optimization, and evaluation metrics Prior startup experience and comfort with the pace and ambiguity of a high-growth company Public-speaking experience or thought-leadership presence in the AI engineering or enterprise architecture space Deep curiosity about how System-2 AI and autonomous agents are reshaping software development—and a point of view on where it’s heading What Makes This Role Different You won’t be advising on software strategy from the sidelines—you’ll be at the table with CIOs and CTOs at some of the largest enterprises in the world, shaping how they build software for the next decade You’ll work with a platform that genuinely does something new: autonomously building 80% of production-grade software, not suggesting completions or generating snippets Your technical credibility directly drives commercial outcomes—this role has real ownership over revenue and expansion, not just advisory influence You’ll have direct access to Blitzy’s founding team and a seat at the table as we define the playbook for enterprise AI-native software development Significant equity upside in one of the fastest-growing AI companies in the U.S., backed by tier 1 investors, with a compensation structure that reflects the seniority and impact of the role Our Culture Who we are: Led by two pioneering co-founders we are one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S., creating our own category of enterprise autonomous software development.
