Responsibilities Our mission is to provide high quality legal services in a cost-effective manner and to act as strategic thinking partners for our clients and customers. Position is hybrid, requiring time in office and virtually. Handles litigation matters including 1st and 3rd party bodily injury cases, non-auto 1st party property cases (roofing and water damage), and other legal assignments in accordance with guidelines established by the Law Department Prepare and summarize reports for proceedings Trial strategy and case development Attends litigation events including trials, mediations, depositions, and hearings Location 390 N Orange Avenue, Suite 1700, Orlando, FL 32801 Qualifications Previous Experience: 3-10 years of civil trial litigation, preferably in insurance defense; 1st and 3rd party bodily injury and non-auto 1st party property (roofing & water damage). Jury trial experience is a plus. Key Skills: Jury trial, mediation, deposition experience; file ownership; knowledge of local and state discovery rules, trial procedures, substantive law; effective written and oral communication; teamwork. Technology: Efficiently manage electronic cases; working knowledge of case management system; document storage system. Education & Licenses: J.D. from an ABA accredited law school with excellent academic credentials; active Florida law license in good standing with the State Bar of Florida. Additional Details Must be eligible to work in the U.S. immediately; no sponsorship. State Farm attorneys cannot handle legal business outside the company; cessation of outside practice required before start. Travel via personal or commercial transportation for job-related activities is an essential function. Irregular hours may be required. Relocation benefits may be available depending on eligibility and position. Benefits Potential starting salary range: $117,500.00 - $163,000.00. Annual incentive pay up to 24% of base salary.
