- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, employing standardized assessments and keen observational skills.
- Craft tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate improvements while addressing long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy services with emphasis on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
- Work alongside a dedicated team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to implement cohesive care strategies.
- Provide education and resources to patients and families to aid progress beyond clinical interactions.
- Occasionally perform speech therapy evaluations and interventions for inpatient clients to ensure continuity of care throughout their treatment journey.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation consistent with all state, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Engage in professional development through continuing education and collaboration with peers to stay ahead in the field.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is strongly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-informed treatment modalities across age groups, with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills suitable for interacting with patients, families, and collaborative care teams.
- Adeptness in customizing therapy approaches to align with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Robust clinical judgement and problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfort and proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records and documentation systems.
