Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, employing standardized assessments and keen observational skills.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that focus on immediate improvements while addressing long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy services with emphasis on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Work alongside a dedicated team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to implement cohesive care strategies.
• Provide education and resources to patients and families to aid progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Occasionally perform speech therapy evaluations and interventions for inpatient clients to ensure continuity of care throughout their treatment journey.
• Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation consistent with all state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and collaboration with peers to stay ahead in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is strongly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
