divh2Job Description/h2pEssential Duties and Responsibilities:/pulliAnalyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs./liliInterprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties./liliPlans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work orders./liliInterfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met./liliInspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications./liliDirects workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards./liliEstablishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules./liliDevelops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product./liliSuggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew./liliAnalyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems./liliMaintains time and production records./liliDevelops capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times./li/ulpKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:/pulliAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization./liliAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry./liliAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form./liliTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel spreadsheet software; ADP payroll systems and Oracle software./li/ulpDesired Education:/pulliAssociates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience./liliSupervisory experience preferred or must have 1-2 years minimum CNC Experience./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliAbility to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 812 hours per shift) on a manufacturing floor/liliFrequent use of hands for handling tools, operating machinery controls, and inspecting parts/liliAbility to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 2550 pounds regularly; occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance/liliGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for working with precision equipment and components/liliAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach in order to access machinery and materials/liliAdequate vision (with or without correction) to read blueprints, gauges, and measurement tools/liliAbility to distinguish colors (for wiring, indicators, or material identification, if applicable)/liliHearing ability sufficient to monitor equipment and communicate in a noisy industrial environment (with hearing protection as required)/liliAbility to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, vibration, heat, cold, and machine fluids (coolants, oils)/liliAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, and hearing protection/li/ulpFor candidates based in Minnesota: The pay range for this position is $79,600 - $135,300 annually./ppOur pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
