Assistant Coach Softball

Job Summary Instructs students in the fundamental skills of softball. Creates an environment conducive to personal development through observing, evaluating, and emphasizing teamwork, while providing guidance to each athlete. Develops sport‑specific drills, practice activities, game plans, and teaches training rules to improve team performance. Motivates students academically and athletically while maintaining a positive image for the school and team. Responsibilities Oversees sporting trips and events; engages in pep rallies and school meetings; maintains equipment; participates in hiring and training assistant coaches; schedules sports activities while following budget and district regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent At least 21 years of age Familiar with softball rules and regulations Experience as athlete and/or coach Works closely with program assistant coach(es) Ability to motivate, teach, and lead Energetic, responsible, dependable, self‑motivated, and punctual Excellent public‑relations skills with staff, parents, and administration Experience working with teens and willingness to supervise on trips, camps, and competitions #J-18808-Ljbffr Tooele County School District
