Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring a minimum of 1-2 years of acute care experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Work setting is a regional health center with 217 licensed beds and a 17-bed Emergency Department
• Patient population is primarily adults and geriatrics, averaging approximately 40 visits per day
• Patient ratio is 1:6
• EMR system is MediTech
• Night shift: 7p-7a
• Every other weekend required
• On-call coverage required to support daily volume and 24/7 call coverage needs
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS required
• TNCC certification required
• Minimum 1-2 years of acute care experience required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult) required
• Titers from within the last 12 months required (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)

Additional Information

• Candidate's primary address must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere while on assignment
• All background checks must be fully cleared prior to start date
• Monday or Tuesday start dates available
• Experience as a traveler or in a similar-sized facility is preferred
