Clinical Therapist

Overview St. Coletta's of Illinois is seeking a Clinical Therapist responsible for developing and monitoring behavior intervention programs for the consumers on the caseload. The role includes developing, monitoring, and actively implementing programming to meet the psychological needs of individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, as well as those who are dually diagnosed. Responsibilities Design individualized treatment plans for the individuals served Actively participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques Present clinical information to the agency's consulting psychiatrist Complete clinical documentation Participate in and attend all Community Support Team meetings for the consumer caseload Consult with and advise staff from the Residential and Vocational Departments regarding implementation of Behavior Management Programs Conduct regular site assessments including the correct implementation of Behavior Management Programs and the collection of reliable data for the programs Respond to and manage emergency clinical issues including facilitating psychiatric hospitalization when necessary Observe consumers in residential and vocational settings to evaluate level of functioning, behavioral issues and mental status Provide individual and group psycho-social rehabilitation or therapy as assigned by the Assistant Director of the department Complete all required documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with regulatory and licensing standards Comply with all agency and departmental policies and procedures Maintain professional conduct and work cooperatively with all other staff Evaluate the effectiveness of current consumer interventions and make appropriate changes to improve consumer functioning and independence Attend training, in-service, and other opportunities for professional development as required Maintain a safe environment for all consumers Qualifications MA or MS in Psychology/Counseling or an MSW One-year clinical experience under a qualified mental health professional Valid Illinois Driver's License Clinical supervision provided Pass a criminal background check and physical/drug test Benefits St. Coletta's of Illinois provides full-time employees with vacation, personal days, sick days and 10 paid holidays.
