About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years ICU experience plus 1 year CV ICU experience. License: MO or compact license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS required. Must-Have: Strong, independent experienced nurses needed to float to multiple ICUs. Description: Floating to various ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac/Heart and Vascular, Client, Medicine, and COVID. Expected to float to inpatient floors as a staff nurse if no ICU needs are available. Ratios are 2:1 in ICU for all shifts. Will float to inpatient floors when needed with a maximum ratio of 1:3. May be asked to float to non-critical care units if census is low in ICU. Utilization as a patient sitter may be required if needed. Every other weekend requirement or six weekend shifts per six-week schedule, plus holiday rotation. Preferred skills include cardiac experience, hemodynamic interpretation, and certain procedural skills. Past experience with electronic charting systems preferred. No specific CVICU experience is required. Training or experience with vents, IV starts, tele, and conscious sedation required. Certifications such as NIH, CCRN, and TNCC preferred. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Will float to inpatient floors when needed with a maximum ratio of 1:3.
