Front Desk Manager

About the Role The Front Desk Manager at Chatham Bars Inn will oversee front office operations, ensuring exceptional guest service and the efficient management of staff and resources. Key Responsibilities Operate the Front Office efficiently, including scheduling and profitability. Supervise Guest Service Agents, Concierge, PBX, and Bell/Valet staff. Maintain Chatham Bars Inn service standards, including Forbes, Preferred Legend, and AAA. Delegate duties, coordinate work processes, and maximize room revenue and occupancy. Ensure proper staffing at all times across Front Office areas. Interpret and enforce hotel quality standards, policies, and procedures. Assist with annual departmental operating budgets and control costs. Perform human resources tasks such as hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions. Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, behavior, and grooming of staff. Handle guest complaints and comments tactfully. Coordinate teamwork with other departments. Perform any other duties as reasonably required. Requirements Minimum 2 years front office and/or supervisory experience, preferably in a luxury hotel setting. Demonstrated management, leadership, and customer service skills. Ability to multi-task and maintain strong attention to detail and organization. Sound accounting background and computer proficiency. Ability to train subordinate staff in accounting. Works closely with other department managers to ensure guest satisfaction. Availability to work holidays and weekends; can stand for long periods. Benefits & Compensation Base Salary: $65,000 – $65,000. Competitive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
