Level II Trauma Center

General mixed ICU with a variety of patients including: Medical; Surgical, Cardiac and Neurosurgery patients.

Post-Operative open-heart patients; VV and VA ECMO, Balloon pump, Impella and CRRT.

Number of Staff: 125

Type of staff: Day Shift 1 Charge 16-18 staff

Night Shift 1 Charge 16-18 staff

Patient Ratios: 2:1 1:1 depending on acuity

Type of equipment: Stryker beds, Avea ventilators, GE monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Maquet IABP, Vigilance II monitors, Impella, ECMO Maquet Cardiohelp and Medtronic Vital Flow; NICOM

EMR - Meditech

Typical procedures performed on unit(s): Bedside procedures such as Bronchs, GI Scopes, Chest Tube Insertion, Arterial and Central line insertions Airway care and frequent drip titrations.
