Overview The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of products represented, prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies, intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner, and maintain an overall professional appearance consistent with the job requirements. Responsibilities Possesses the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented. Has desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner. Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product. Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives. Maintain a clean, sterile and safe work station using cleaning chemicals. Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the job requirements. Properly set up and prepare event tables for execution. Achieve 100% execution on assigned work. Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections. Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives. Complete expense reports as per Company Policy. Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution. Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word & Adobe PDF forms. Estimated work hours: not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, though the company may adjust based on business needs. Qualifications Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED, or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills: Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local Food Handlers permit may be required. Physical Demands: Requires standing, walking, using hands and fingers to handle or feel, reaching overhead up to 65 inches, talking and hearing, visual ability to read instructions, stooping, kneeling, squatting, climbing or stepping ladder, balance, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), pushing and pulling a wheeled demonstration cart, preparing foods and beverages using required appliances, and contact with cleaning supplies. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Work Environment: Retail store environment, limited travel. Physical Appearance: Must present a neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance in accordance with the retailer dress code. Language Skills: English is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
