About the Position

Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Operating Room CST Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: South Carolina RN License preferred Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA required Must-Have: - One full weekend and one half weekend call every four weeks - Will float between service lines Description: The position requires a Certified OR Tech/Surgical Tech to work in a busy operating room. The shift will be three 12-hour days from 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM. This role involves participation in general surgery, robotics, orthopedics, podiatry, gynecology, eyes, and urology cases. The candidate will be required to work on-call, taking four weekdays and one and a half weekends in a four-week period. Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, they may be assigned to emergency response teams. Candidates must provide a radiation badge from their agency, as it will not be provided. Previous experience in all areas is necessary for first-time travelers. The facility allows the possibility of a block schedule with manager approval. Call is required for this position, and it may involve floating to different service lines. All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission. The facility can call off one shift per two weeks if needed.
