Position Overview: The Service Writer is the primary point of contact between our customers and service department. This individual will schedule service appointments, prepare repair orders, communicate with customers throughout the repair process, and coordinate closely with technicians to ensure repairs are completed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and provides exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities: Greet customers and create a positive service experience from check-in through delivery. Open, prepare, and close repair orders accurately and efficiently. Schedule service appointments and coordinate workflow with technicians and management. Communicate repair recommendations, estimates, and timelines to customers. Keep customers updated on the status of their repairs. Coordinate warranty claims and manufacturer documentation as needed. Work closely with technicians to ensure repairs are completed correctly and on schedule. Review completed repairs with customers and explain work performed. Process invoices and collect payment upon completion of service. Maintain accurate customer and service records within the dealership management system. Assist with service department organization and daily operations. Provide outstanding customer service both in person and over the phone.

Qualifications: Previous experience as a Marine Service Writer, Automotive Service Advisor, or similar role preferred. Marine industry knowledge strongly preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Computer proficiency and experience with dealership management software is a plus. Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Team player who works well with technicians, parts personnel, and management. Bilingual (English & Spanish) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
