Step into an impactful school-based role supporting students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the upcoming academic year. This full-time contract opportunity covers several school sites near Kansas City, MO, serving a diverse student population from elementary through high school. You'll collaborate closely with a supervising Occupational Therapist and help deliver essential services to students during an FMLA leave period starting August 24th through September 25th, with the possibility of extension.

Key Qualifications:

• Active COTA license in Missouri required
• Previous experience in educational settings is strongly valued
• Comfortable coordinating across multiple campuses
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work independently while following provided oversight

Core Responsibilities:

• Serve a caseload of approximately 32 students, allocating about 800 minutes of direct therapy each week
• Develop a personalized weekly schedule (with initial oversight) to support all assigned students
• Work across multiple sites including elementary, middle, and high school settings
• Collaborate with the supervising Occupational Therapist to implement IEP goals and track progress
• Maintain accurate documentation according to school and legal requirements
• Support students with a range of physical, sensory, and cognitive needs in alignment with school-based therapy goals
