Role Summary We are seeking a clinically excellent cataract and anterior segment surgeon to join a medically focused, referral-driven ophthalmology practice. This role is designed for a surgeon who values high-quality outcomes, sound surgical judgment, and collaborative care, and who functions as a trusted partner to optometrists, colleagues, and the broader medical community. While fellowship training in cornea, glaucoma, or anterior segment is preferred, it is not required. The defining characteristic of this role is not subspecialty labeling, but clinical maturity, consistency, and professionalism in surgical and medical decision-making. Clinical Scope High-volume cataract surgery, MIGS, and general anterior segment surgery including laser procedures Management of patients with coexisting ocular disease, including glaucoma and ocular surface disease Application of evidence-based surgical techniques with appropriate adoption of advancing technologies The role emphasizes consistent outcomes, appropriate risk stratification, and clear communication across the care continuum. Community Engagement & Professional Presence Engagement with referring optometrists and medical providers Participation in professional meetings, education, and outreach activities Leadership or involvement in local, regional, or specialty organizations Speaking engagements, teaching, or mentorship when appropriate The surgeon serves as both a clinical leader and ambassador for collaborative, patient-centered eye care.
