Job Summary
Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Olympia, Washington. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within a pediatric unit situated within the Post Partum Unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position offers the opportunity to work in a busy, innovative hospital environment with a minimum of one year of experience expected.

Job Details

• Location: Olympia, WA
• Position: Pediatric RN (Peds RN)
• Shift Hours: 12-hour night shifts (3x12 nights per week)
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: July 28, 2026
• Certifications Required: BLS, PALS
• Certifications Preferred: Trauma Level Experience, Teaching Hospital Experience, EMR Experience
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in pediatric MedSurg nursing; management and interpretation of dysrhythmias, hyperbilirubinemia, breastfeeding support, central line care, oxygen delivery systems, BiPAP/CPAP management, and PPE/isolation precautions.
• Schedule: Block scheduling with 3 night shifts/week, including weekends; 4 weekend shifts per contract.
• Additional Qualifications: Pediatric asthma, bronchiolitis, upper respiratory infections, post surgical care (appendectomy, tonsillectomy, etc.), failure to thrive, jaundice, non-accidental trauma, postpartum, vaginal and C-section deliveries.
• Float Requirements: Floating between Post Partum and Special Care Nursery units may be required.
• Patient Population: Neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, with daily census of approximately 3.
• Unit Details: Located within a Pediatric unit of a short-term acute care facility with 325 beds, utilizing EPIC electronic medical records.
• References: Two references covering at least one year, within the last three years, including charge RNs or leads, are required prior to start.
• Additional Information: The candidate must be able to start quickly with a pending license, and RTO restrictions require all requests to be included with submittal.
