An established private OB/GYN practice in Dothan, Alabama, is seeking a physician to join a collaborative team of four physicians and two nurse practitioners. This opportunity is available due to an upcoming physician retirement and welcomes experienced physicians as well as residents completing training in 2027. The practice has a strong reputation in the community and offers a supportive clinical environment, modern technology, and the opportunity to pursue partnership after one year. A first-year income guarantee is provided through the affiliated hospital, along with a $100,000 signing bonus.

Practice Highlights

• Join a team of four physicians and two nurse practitioners.
• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care.
• Practice at one hospital, with the clinic conveniently located within the medical office building for easy access to the operating room and women's services.
• Share obstetric call equally with the other OB/GYN group, with an approximately 1-in-10 call rotation.

• Work in a hospital environment with approximately 1,500 deliveries annually.
• Receive dedicated clinical support, including a nurse and certified medical assistant for each physician.
• Work alongside nurse practitioners who provide care exclusively in the clinic.

Work Schedule

• MondayThursday: 8:00 a.m.5:00 p.m.
• Friday: 8:00 a.m.12:00 p.m.
• Call coverage: Approximately 1:10, shared with the other OB/GYN group.
• Post-call day off provided.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency, or anticipated completion in 2027.
• Current Alabama medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Willingness and ability to practice both obstetrics and gynecology.
• Ability to provide hospital-based obstetric care, including deliveries.

Preferred Qualifications

• Board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Experience in labor and delivery, gynecologic procedures, and women's preventive health.
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgery, including the da Vinci system.
• Interest in a long-term private practice opportunity and potential partnership.
