RN Case Manager - Workers' Compensation

The RN Case Manager, Workers Compensation is responsible for coordinating care and managing cases for injured employees to facilitate their safe and timely return to work. Key duties include assessing medical progress through in-person, telephonic, or video visits, communicating with insurance carriers, legal teams, and healthcare providers, scheduling tests and treatments, and developing individualized return-to-work plans in collaboration with HR and leadership. They monitor compliance with treatment protocols, document all case activities accurately, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as HIPAA and Joint Commission requirements. Additionally, they build relationships with team members and leadership, participate in regulatory processes, stay current with industry best practices, and educate staff on workers' compensation and safety resources. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Healthcare, current RN licensure in Illinois, BLS certification, and 3+ years of clinical nursing experience. Preferred skills are strong problem-solving, attention to detail, compassion, proficiency in MS Office, and knowledge of workers' compensation laws.
