Certified Hand Therapist

Summary The Certified Hand Therapist role performs evaluations, develops plans, and carries out treatments to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps patients reach their maximum performance in accordance with the Plan of Care prescribed by the provider. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: Degree in occupational or physical therapy from an accredited program and successful completion of clinical internship. License/Certifications: Current State of Maine License as an Occupational or Physical Therapist. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Experience: 3 years of licensed experience and 4,000 hours of direct practice in hand therapy. #J-18808-Ljbffr
