Licensed Practical Nurse OpportunityA unique opportunity is available for a licensed practical nurse to provide dedicated, one-on-one care in a school-based setting. You will work directly with a student who uses a wheelchair and has a history of seizures, playing an important role in their daily educational experience and overall well-being.Key Experience and Qualifications:Current, valid LPN license to practice nursing in Alabama.Graduation from an accredited nursing program, recognized by the Alabama Board of Nursing.Associate degree or higher in nursing.Up-to-date CPR certification.Demonstrated experience working as a nurse in a school environment.Compassionate, attentive, and adaptable approach to student care.Primary Responsibilities:Provide responsible 1-on-1 care for a student with complex health needs.Perform tube feedings twice daily.Accompany the student to various classes, including sessions such as speech therapy.Assist with changing the student as needed, adhering to all health and safety standards.Remain alert to signs of seizure activity and respond appropriately, following care protocols.Communicate student needs and daily updates with educational and nursing staff to support a safe, supportive environment.Position Details:Onsite assignment, working between 30 and 35 hours per week.Contract runs through May 2027; immediate start date available.Located conveniently in Birmingham, Alabama.If you are passionate about student care and have the specific school nursing background required, you are encouraged to apply today and make a meaningful impact every day in a dynamic educational setting!
