Central Transport Associate - PRN Job Type: PRN Shift: First Shift (United States) Job Summary The Central Transport Associate is responsible for safely transporting patients within the hospital, including wheelchairs, stretchers, patients with oxygen tanks, IV pumps, and other equipment. The role involves supporting department and hospital operations as needed. Responsibilities Safely transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary, and support areas. Manage patient conditions and equipment during transport. Assist patients and staff within confined or crowded areas. Read and follow written and verbal instructions. Perform shift work, including weekend work when required. Qualifications Education/Experience: High school graduate or equivalent; completion of a Project Search Program is an advantage. License/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Sitting approximately 20% of the workday; mobility approximately 80% of the workday. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, hand use, and repetitive action. Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds or greater; pushing or pulling up to 150 pounds or greater. Continuous clear speaking and hearing sensitivity for phone or in‑person communication. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant ranges. Work inside, protected from weather, but not necessarily temperature changes; minimal noise levels.
