Admissions Counselor

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Admissions Counselor to work in Boca Raton, FL. The role focuses on recruitment and admission strategies, building relationships with prospective students and partners, and supporting enrollment processes. Responsibilities Develop and implement recruitment activities for assigned counties in Florida and other key markets nationwide. Manage recruitment territories using data analytics, university dashboards, and ROI considerations for events, travel, and marketing. Build and maintain effective communication with high‑school counselors, college advisors, families, and community partners. Provide counseling and academic advising to prospective students through in‑person meetings, phone calls, emails, texts, and travel to schools. Participate in high‑school visits, college nights, fairs, call nights, and campus recruitment events (e.g., Open Houses). Represent the university at all recruitment activities, ensuring accurate information and a professional presence. Collaborate with Student Affairs & Enrollment Management and Academic Affairs for recruitment, onboarding, and enrollment of new students. Generate reports, meet goals within the territory, and provide input to admissions and student affairs leadership. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field and at least two years of related experience, or a master’s degree (required). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Valid Florida driver’s license; ability to operate a motor vehicle and qualify for car rental.
