Risk Management Associate

: While performing the duties reflected below, which consist of exercising independent judgment and discretion over administrative functions within the insurance brokerage space as the position floats across various corporate/business units, our Junior Associate position is also eligible to participate in our Insurance Professional Development Program (“IPDP”), a program aimed at enhancing your insurance professional acumen and developing you for future opportunities within our insurance brokerage. As an IPDP eligible position, you will have an incredible opportunity to work on business specific projects where you will grow your knowledge and experience to supplement and strengthen your already existing insurance industry skills. Primary Responsibilities & Duties: As a floating Junior Associate, your primary duties include the following, which may vary depending upon your assigned rotating department:

• Building and maintaining constructive and effective relationships with internal and external customers by meeting and exceeding expectations
• Leveraging insurance knowledge and expertise to actively service existing accounts and develop new business opportunities.
• Fostering an environment of personal accountability by managing appropriate system records of service, marketing, and policy communications with clients and carriers in applicable management systems
• Nurturing professional relationships through the facilitation of personal client meetings and consistent client contact
• Participating in the retention of renewal business. Interacting with producers to prepare specifications, applications, underwriting data and related information in the marketing of insurance products
• Ensuring the client has continuous and proper coverage and advising the client of any recommendations within a mutually established timeline
• Reviewing current policies and providing recommendations regarding placement options. Utilizing coverage checklists and a network of industry contacts to determine appropriate coverage and premiums
• Supporting the implementation of new lines of coverage by setting up accounts, collecting needed documentation, and reviewing plan details with Client and Carrier
• Executing coverage analysis as needed as well as providing the client with accurate quotation for any additional coverage's

On average, less than 50% of your time will also entail IPDP skills training, which consists of a blended, cohort-based, hands-on program combing instructor-led and virtual learning - utilizing both internal and external resources, self-paced individual study, and mentorship.

• Year 1 of the IPDP will entail building upon your already existing insurance professional experience and focus on industry fundamentals and skill building . Generally, at the end of Year 1, individuals in the Risk Management Associate position elect to focus their career trajectory on the Producer or Account Manager path.
• Year 2 of the IPDP will entail continued rotations, client interactions, skill building, and job shadowing with more senior members of the Risk Strategies team.
• Year 3 of the IPDP consists of continued job shadowing/ role apprenticeship with more senior members of the Risk Strategies team and identifying areas of the business for future promotion and career growth.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
• Graduate from the RSC internship program preferred but must have at least 3 months of experience working in the insurance industry.
• 3.0 GPA or higher (Transcript required prior to interview).

The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $50,000 - $70,000. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
