Your Experience & Skills Required 1+ year of veterinary clinical experience (GP, ER, or specialty) Comfortable supporting surgery, anesthesia monitoring, and dentistry/dental procedures Team‑oriented and comfortable in a fast‑paced clinical environment Strong communication skills with clients and team members; accurate, timely documentation Preferred Licensed/credentialed veterinary technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) Role Responsibilities Support veterinarians by delivering high‑quality patient care, advocating for pets, and educating clients. Partner with the medical team across the hospital (including diagnostic imaging) to maintain efficient patient flow. Assist with surgeries and procedures, including anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery, in accordance with your state’s Veterinary Practice Act (for credentialed technicians). Communicate with clients about patient needs and provide guidance on vaccines, preventive care, medications, and recommended treatment plans. Maintain accurate, complete medical records in the EMR using hospital protocols. Collect patient history, support appointments, and update charts and treatment sheets. Use safe restraint techniques and follow standard protocols; maintain clean and organized exam, treatment, and lab areas; assist with sample collection, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement (as trained). Help train and support teammates to promote consistent patient care and a positive workflow. Complete other duties as assigned to support the hospital team.
