Infection Preventionist RN or LPN

Job Summary:

Complete Care at Brakeley Park, a leading provider of long-term care and rehabilitation services, is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Infection Preventionist RN or LPN to join our clinical team. As an Infection Preventionist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality care, and infection control throughout our center.

Responsibilities: Infection Preventionist

• Lead and oversee the facility Infection Prevention & Control Program

• Monitor and investigate infections, outbreaks, and trends within the center

• Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, OSHA, and NJ Department of Health regulations

• Conduct surveillance, audits, and reporting related to infection prevention

• Educate and train nursing staff on infection prevention protocols and best practices

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes and quality measures

• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in QAPI initiatives

• Assist with policy development and implementation related to infection prevention

Requirements: Infection Preventionist

• Active New Jersey RN or LPN License required

• Infection Prevention certification preferred or willingness to obtain

• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of infection control regulations and practices

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Ability to educate, mentor, and support clinical staff

• Experience with electronic medical records preferred
